New Passive House regulation in Brussels
With its new Energy Performance and Indoor Environment in Buildings Regulation, the Brussels Capital Region has adopted the targets of the European EPBD Directive, calling for all buildings to be Nearly-Zero Energy Buildings by the end of 2020, 6 years ahead of time. Brussels' new regulation is based on the Passive House Standard, making it mandatory for all new builds as well as all retrofits as of January 2015.

Cyril Mannion completed a course covering interstitial condensation in wall build ups with modelling software called WUFI from the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany
This course was given by Joseph Little in collaboration with the Fraunhofer institute and was the first course of its kind given in Ireland and only the third in the English language
The fraunhofer Institute have being studying building physics in real life situations since 1950
We have completed all our external insulation jobs for 2010, weather conditions are not suitable from now on, all going well we will be back at external rendering next march
